"What was one thing that I learned today?"

Conner learned that there are different kids of pumpkins.

Jayda learned that there are different kinds of pumpkins.

Danny learned pumpkins come in many shapes and sizes.

Riley learned that gourds exist.

Tierra learned that pumpkins have seeds in them and the seeds are soggy.

Kendall learned a pumpkin tastes yucky!

Max learned that 5-4=1.

Nyla learned that pumpkins smell nasty.

Luke learned that pumpkins taste terrible.

Brian learned that he can write music.

Alyssa learned that pumpkins can taste terrible!

Alicyn learned that pumpkin seeds taste good.

Jeremiah learned that pumpkins if you put your hand inside the pumpkin it feels mushy.

Matthias learned about pumpkins.

Madi learned about pumpkins.

Walker learned that pumpkins feel grodey.

Tomorrow is Friday. Tomorrow is the Jungle Store and college t-shirt day. Tomorrow we will be having a special "Boo" reader at Social Studies. Tomorrow after specials, we will get to see a very special puppet show for Red Ribbon Week.

Tomorrow night we have our school dance.

Saturday is the Fun Run! Come by and see our First Grade Feeds table. We already have collected 38 items of food to help fight hunger. We also made a commercial about it for the broadcast about hunger.

"What was one way I was a good leader today?"

Jeremiah was a good leader today because he was helping people at recess.

Danny was a good leader today because he was showing the kindergarteners how to act in the hallways.

Luke was a good leader today because he stayed on task and did his work.

Brian was a good leader today because he helped Perry at recess.

Alicyn was a good leader today because she was listening.

Conner was a good leader today because at Question of the Day he was doing his best work.

Tierra was a good leader today because she was following expectations.

Riley was a good leader today because he was staying on task and doing his best work.

Miyah was a good leader today because when we were on the carpet, she was being quiet and doing what she was supposed to do.

Max was a good leader today because he was doing his math stations.

Kendall was a good leader today because when her buddy told her to check her Question of the Day, she didn't get mad.

Alyssa was a good leader today because Alyssa helped Conner.

Madi was a good leader today because she helped people stay on task.

Walker was a good leader today because he helped Luke set up his computer.

Jayda was a good leader today because she was staying on task.

Tomorrow is Library Day. Don't forget your books if you didn't bring them today.

Tomorrow is also Wear a Silly Hat or Cap day for Red Ribbon Week. Don't forget to wear your red bracelet too.

Don't forget to bring any canned or boxed foods for our First Grade Feeds project. We are trying to fight hunger and see how much food we can collect. We already collected 24 things of food.

"What was one thing that I learned today?"

Tierra learned that it's going to be cold in February.

Jayda learned that 12-4=8.

Jeremiah learned that 1+2=3.

Melanie learned that 1+13=14.

Max learned that 99+1=100.

Nyla learned that 19+1=20.

Alyssa learned that 90+1=91.

Brian learned that there are turnarounds.

Kendall learned that 10+10=20.

Luke learned 10x3=30.

Madi learned that it rains a lot in spring.

Matthias learned about spring.

Riley learned that in spring, days get longer and in winter, days get shorter.

Miyah learned that fall makes days shorter and spring makes your days longer.

Today we finished our flyers for First Grade Feeds. We are trying to fight hunger. We are going to collect different foods and cans for people who are hungry. We help too. We can bring in food for our collection too.

On Saturday, there is the Fun Run and the festivities after. First grade will have a table where we will be collecting food at the Fun Run. All of the first grade teachers will be there. Here is the link for more information! http://www.ranchhouserun.org/
